Appearance:

-Pelt: She has wispy, burnt-orange fur overall with rust hues near the insides of her ears. She has a white “L” shape on her chest, the toes on each paw are white, and the underside of her machete-shaped tail is a few shades lighter than the rest of her pelt.

-Eyes: Beautiful cranberry-orange colored irises surrounded by chocolate lids.

-Extras: Her ears are tall and pointy, a result of her mother’s genes. She has a long, feathered tail like her father, and her body is short, slender, and lean. As a result of her escape from a small clan of luperci that held her prisoner back home, she has a series of scars scattered about her slim face: a snake-like one that stretches from the left side of her big, black nose to the brow of her left eye, claw marks on the right side of her snout, a nick above her right eyebrow, and a nick on her left upper lip. In her bipedal form, she stands about 5’ 5” tall, her messy chestnut hair falls in loose waves to the middle of her shoulder blades, and she maintains her slender figure even in this form. As a secui canine, she’s slightly bulkier, about 4 inches taller than her lupus form, and her fur becomes shaggy and unkempt. However, you’ll rarely see her in any form but her lupus, because the other forms remind her of her past.

Biography: Born in Southeastern New Brunswick, Adannaya (or “Ada,” as she prefers to be called) and her family have constantly lived in fear, feeling like prisoners in their own home. Ada’s mother, a Northeastern coyote named Mottie, enjoyed a life of freedom growing up, always close to her family and running and hunting as she pleased. She met Ada’s father, a feral Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever named Bucklee, when she was still fairly young, but he was clever and handsome and looked out for Mottie; this relieved a majority of her parent’s concern. They were fast mates, enjoying their “newlywed” lives and planning for the day they’d have pups together.
Ada came along as a bit of a surprise to her parents, as Mottie was certain she was carrying only one pup: her twin brother Janew. However, the couple loved her all the same, raising them with a firm but compassionate hand. They grew to be strong children, confident and capable of anything life threw at them. Things were great; but as is common, they didn’t stay that way.
At about ten months old, Ada and her brother were kidnapped by a clan of rogue luperci bent on turning every non-luperci into a bipedal canine like themselves. Bucklee tried to protect his family, but was murdered in his efforts. Mottie was raped, and then later murdered as well after she refused to switch to her new form. Janew fought valiantly against the luperci, but was punished with starvation for his ignorance. The only one left, Ada lived every day in fear, her imagination tormenting her as it conjured up scenarios in which she would become like them: Would she be raped? Brutally beaten? Or even befriended and then betrayed? She knew she had to escape, but hope seemed out of reach.
Exactly two days before her first birthday, Ada planned an escape. Blessed with her father’s vigor and her mother’s craftiness, she chewed through the tether that bound her to a tree, snuck out of camp, and bounded toward Nova Scotia.
Exactly one day before her first birthday, the flunky luperci designated to guard her was sent to find her with a ‘return-with-her-or-else’ order. Ada lay unaware, hungry and miles from the camp, when the guard pounced on her. In a flailing struggle, the young coydog killed the novice guard, escaping with a handful of nasty gashes across her face and a childhood she would never forget.
On her first birthday, Ada stumbled into ‘Souls, oblivious to the fact that the virus she had tried so hard to avoid was now coursing through her veins.

Personality: Ada is strong-minded and, though she’s still young, fairly mature. However, she often second-guesses herself due to her inability to make decisions, and at times small pieces of evidence to her age emerge and cloud her judgment. Though she prefers to be right, her self-confidence (and now her ability to trust others) is such that she doesn’t enforce her desire for control as often as she should. She has a tender heart as well, which makes it easy for others to question her authority and talk her out of what she wants. Her temper on the other hand, if fiery enough, will usually get people to see things her way. Her mind is sharp like her mother’s, but scarred from her past – she suffers from night terrors and paranoia, making it difficult for her to function in social settings. Because of this, her hunger for control usually only surfaces in one-on-one situations. Her wittiness proves to be quite entertaining if you catch her in a good mood, as she finds sarcasm an easy relief when she’s nervous.
