The coyote had been caught up in her work, studiously attempting to fully flesh out the portrait of the pretty songbird. Beige fingers ran across the wide page of the sketchbook quickly and deliberately, and when the voice reached her ears she started, gasping and looking around. Eyes of rich amber fell upon the kind stranger; a mottled, deep brown man whose bright blue eyes and floppy ears sang of a dog. In awe of his shape, his height no taller than she this man did not smell of Ichika, though; at least not in the way that the others had.
Sage smiled at his question, but she was polite enough not to laugh. "It's not incense, love; it's called cannabis. You smoke it," she said gently, inhaling a puff to show him and exhaling the smoke as she stood up, placing her sketchbook and pencil aside for the moment. "See?" The heavy smoke poured from her mouth as she spoke. "Some people call it marijuana," she added, shrugging. Whatever the name, she loved the plant. Thankfully, her father had an ample supply; her own was running low since she'd left Inferni. Sage hoped that someone would care for the plants she'd left in the greenhouse; they were quite lovely specimens, after all. She just couldn't see how she could go back to get them. Sighing, she took another lungful of smoke from the cigarette, holding it out to him. "Care to try it, friend?" she asked with a curved smile, unabashedly offering to share. It had always been her thought that everyone should try it once.
