The black wolf had taken her aback, but she attempted to smile at him. It was a soft smile, rather hesitant. It was very different from her usual mischievous grin. Eager to put some distance between them and clear her head she stepped away. Seamlessly she slid into her secui form. Her hair retracted, shortening into the thick mane around her neck. Bulk was added as her body widened, growing stronger. Her shift complete Terra stepped away and slunk into the woods.
In contrary to the shy movements she'd shown the male, Terra's movements were now smooth and powerful. Confidence radiated from her as she did what she did best, sneaking around. Despite her large form and bright coat Terra moved without notice through the woods. She positioned herself behind the herd, picking out an old deer with a sagging head. It was a doe, which meant no flashing antlers to watch out for.
Terra bounded out, and snapped at the old deer's hooves. Startled by her silent entrance the deer whirled, trying to escape. The rest of the herd panicked as well, unable to locate the source. Cleanly she cut the deer away and drove it towards the black wolf. Relentlessly she tore at it's legs. It was dripping with blood before it even reached him.
