Disgust like this was new to her and unnerving to say the least. The child had not frightened her, more her blind rage than anything. A mind overtaken by an emotion of that magnitude was not to be trifled with light… though the Nomad was quite certain she was capable of holding her own. Hopefully this development would not call forth those actions and for the sake of the wild child, she hoped she would find sense and not disobey her clansman. Young one or not, she was still a part of a pack… and all packs kept an order of some kind of its members.

Again the child demanded her death for reasons the she-wolf could begin to fathom. She could only assume a deep resentment, or perhaps she had heard of the scuffle involving one of her kin and assumed she had come for revenge. As Zana stepped back to keep the girl at bay, X’yrin did the same though with more generous steps. Eventually her form relieved itself of the bulking mass and became more elongated as she pulled herself to stand on lengthened stalks. She was not keen on displaying her form in a show of intimidation, however she was well aware of the daunting message it often conveyed. The offered rabbit laid forgotten at her feet as her attention was better focused on the raging child seeking her demise.

To this, her brows furrowed and muzzle contorted with a frown. “And why must ‘it’ die?” she asked, temporarily adopting the child’s derogative title for her. “’Stinky’ hasn’t done anything to you. ‘It’ doesn’t even know you… and yet you wish to kill ‘it’.” An auburn cascade slipped down her shoulder as the woman tilted her head in thought with intrigued eyes still trained on the enraged whelp. “Perhaps you are afraid… is that it?” her words drawled on with thought. “Are you afraid, young one?”
