Janos had been just as amazed as Bastion with how quickly their child had grown but it was the change in Enigma that really surprised him. He had grown up so quickly, the pup becoming more and more independent and looking more like Bastion every day that it was rather endearing. Janos found himself on high alert most of the time all the same, though, seeming to be even more uptight than normal keeping track of not one but two of his loved ones. He would not let what happened to his clan that he traveled with for so long happen to Bastion and Enigma. While his two loves went to go and play, Janos was cleaning up around the camp, hunting, cleaning, and stringing up the food for their dinner and he was okay with that. He wouldn’t mind being with the two of them but this was important too, especially if they were going to be eating that night. Suddenly a call went up for him, and a fear lanced through him, causing him to hurry up and finish the knot he was making before he began to run, trying his hardest to catch up with the source of the call. He knew who it originated from and it scared him with the urgency of the call. His feet couldn’t lead him fast enough towards Bastion, his jacket fluttering behind him as he ran, his brand hidden by the bandages that he always kept tied tightly around his ribs, keeping his sign out of the way.

He crashed through the brush and immediately caught the scent of his love leading away from the area and he followed along the scent trail until he came across Bastion and Enigma by the captured male. He turned from the figure to the two smaller males, taking a step towards the one that was hanging up, reaching over to sniff at the male hanging up before he turned towards Enigma and Bastion. ”Master, Enigma, what is going on?” He asked before he turned to the figure hanging up. Figuring that he was called to drop the man, he reached up and with a smooth flick cut the rope and in that smooth motion had moved to grab hold of the rogue’s arms and placed the knife’s edge up against the rogue’s neck as he waited for a response. He wouldn’t kill him or exact any sort of justice on him until he knew the whole story, or perhaps not even then. All he needed was the right words from Bastion, and this figure in his arms would be nothing but a dead body, someone else to give life to the next generation of flora and fauna. His life meant nothing to Janos, especially if he had dared to even attempt to harm a hair on the head of Bastion or Enigma. That was completely unforgivable and he wasn’t afraid to let his anger fly. He didn’t really have the best of tempers after all. But perhaps Bastion had another idea. Either way he had a feeling that he would find out very soon indeed.
