She tugged at a piece of sap-covered fur, considering. She hadn't thought about the fact that Conri might connect the two. "Yeah. I don't want him to get the wrong idea. It was all me." Her stupid mistake. If she'd have guessed she would have thought that it would be something else that would have caused a misscarriage...a fight, getting knocked over by a coyote...something to do with the war. But it'd been something smaller, simpler.
