It was late. Much too late for someone in their right mind to be knocking at the door. Io rose from her bed of furs, unsettling the boys who slept at her side. Sneaking out of the room, almost silently behind his mother, Dymtr followed. His earth toned half brother, followed behind him. Both wondered what was going on at this time of the morning. Io, who really should have seen this coming, paced towards the door. Her Secui form gave her the appearance of a small mother bear, and the sight of the pups at her heels only went further to exaggerate this. To the boys her shadow looked akin to a dragon or another fierce, and equally large, creature.

With a snow gloved paw, Io flicked the doors open. Who would want to be out at this time of night? And in this weather. When the door opened, little spits of rain from the main doors pour found themselves sent by the wind through the doorway and onto the rug that sat at the door. ’Sarajevo’ she breathed, surprised to see her son here again. The boys stared on in confusion, why was their brother here? ’What are you doing here?’ she asked, still half asleep. Sarajevo looked around and then back to his younger half siblings, ’Maybe you should get rid of them...’ he noted, gesturing to his brothers. With a small nudge with her hind legs, the boys scampered off, but only some ways down the hall to the left so as not to be seen spying.

Sarajevo stepped in, but not before picking something up. ’Sara... she sighed, shaking her head. Sarajevo nodded, dropping the small girl pup before her and stepping back. But Io was quicker, before he could reverse through the door; she leapt forward and caught the larger (even despite his lupus form) by his scruff. ’You are not going anywhere until you explain yourself’. Her son wiggled back into the house and he hung his head. And then he repeated the circumstances that led up to the girl pup before him.

Io was awestruck, this girl was her granddaughter. For a moment it was sickening, as he thought back to her newest children as just a few days older. ’Go...’ she said, merely because she could sense that he didn’t want any responsibility. And plus without his she could raise her as her own. Firs she’d have to speak with Leon and Aeron. But who cares what they say. ’Does she have a name?’ Io asked, pulling the creamy white collie child closer. Sarajevo shook his head, ’No’ he said flatly, edging towards the door. ’You can go. If you want’ she added, smiling briefly as her first son disappeared through the door and into the night.

With a tired sigh, she looked down at the cream child. She lacked proper care, behind on her mental education and her growth; most likely she had been lacking proper food too. ’Boys’ she called, the pups appearing at the hall corner. ’Go get you father’ she ordered softly, scooping up the girl in her jaws and moving to the bedroom again.
