The small pup wriggled around, repositioning herself for warmth and lying on her back to stare up at Leon with her turquoise eyes. She made a tiny, cute, squeaking sound as she stared up at her 'father'. Io stroked her stomach, which was thin and probably empty. Io smiled, though it was a hollow smile, one full of worry, and not all of it revolving around the little girl. 'She is thin...' the russet saddled hybrid said, her smile turning into a soft frown as she looked up to Leon. It pained her to admit that her son had failed to take proper care of something he created, and it was something she would be fortunate to have the option to avoid. The creme pelted child was hers now. And even if Sarajevo came back, she wouldn't let him take her back. Not after leaving her in this state. Io doubted that Leon would let him either.
'Estrella' Io said simply, everything else sounded stupid, and while she may have commented on this beforehand, she was in no mood to argue tonight. Too much had happened. The russet and white woman set the pup down gently, and while the girl stood solidly, her movements were shaky. Io pursed her lips and shook her head as she reclined against the wall.
