Days had passed, and the woman was full of guilt because of her unplanned absence. It had never been her intention to abandon the kids for so long, and now it didn’t seem like she could get back quickly enough. A mother’s heart was a strange thing, but she didn’t question the need to check up on her offspring. Four days was much too long; she’d never been a full day without the twins since their birth. The took care of their own, of course, but she trusted only a precious few of the long standing members. Were they safe? Had they eaten? Again, a distasteful grimace had settled on otherwise beautiful hues, obscuring the unmistakable visual beauty. But her appearance was taken for granted, and her personality more often than not shone through and discoloured the purity of her looks with her inner ugliness. But right now, she only worried about the young ones. Acid and foulness could wait until she had made sure her young ones were safe and sound.

Vivid hues of perfect scarlet leaped to the moving form as a canine came into view; a potential threat to block her direct path back to the southern part of Inferni. Her hurried pace did not hesitate, however, for nothing could come between a mother and her children, and Halo was a most determined mother at this point. It didn’t take long before she recognized the other either and it was a fellow clan-member, apparently on her way away from Inferni. Myrika Tears, a woman she could stand and a face not unpleasant to gaze upon. There was a mostly dormant wish to get to know this particular member better, but it was difficult for the woman to distract her thoughts from her destination. If it hadn’t been for the sword that served as her sharp companion she would have travelled back in her lupus form to save time, but she could imagine the state of her maw if she had dragged the sword along in her mouth for a whole day.

Once close enough, her pace adjusted and slowed down as she offered a court nod to her fellow clan member. ”Myrika,” she greeted, offering a not entirely genuine smile. But she was courteous enough to stop, at least for a moment. ”Where are you going?” none of her business, of course, but she wasn’t good at random small talk without purpose, and she was completely out of practise.

Your faith walks on broken glass
