Myrika is by Kiri!
As much as the rusty-hued woman liked Halo, the Triarii also frightened Myrika. In some ways, Halo stood for all the warnings her father had ever given her -- perhaps the most bloodthirsty of them, perhaps the most cruel and aggressive of them, Myrika found her fiery temperament both frightening and fascinating. Though they were perhaps equals in rank, the bigger tawny coyote felt inferior to Halo in more ways than she could count, and it would take long months to adjust to the shift in Inferni's hierarchy.
The woman chose not to respond, and instead offered a troubled smile to her companion. The mahogany-haired Triarii was right, of course -- there was a very real likelihood (not just a possibility) she'd abhor the sight of Halo's justice. The woman was intrigued, however, as her cousin spoke of foreign packs. Myrika flicked her tail nervously, shifting her weight from one leg to the other. Close borders? she asked. Will Ezekiel do anything about it? There was unease in her voice, but the woman did not look entirely disturbed, merely worried. After all, with fierce warriors such as Halo to defend Inferni's skull-lined perimeter, why worry at all?
