Lovely post! So sorry for the wait, I'm terribad :x so here have one of my more rare longish posts o.o'/ +730

It had been solitude that Anann had been seeking when she had left Kingsbury in the early morning hours without any art destination in mind. Once beyond the gates, her foot-paws had lead her southward. Though to be truly alone was something that Anann had never really known and before she could even come close to the border that carried her own scent Anann found herself followed by the familiar echo of hooves. The rhythmic beat changed its rhythm as the horses slowed their gait. The father and son duo had fallen silently in line behind their wolfen companion, save for the soft thud of hooves against earth.

When Anann had not greeted either of them, not even tossing a glance back their way, the young colt began to nicker and added a bounce to his gait in an attempt to gain her attention. When even that got no response from the wolf after a few seconds, Rem gave the roan colt a hard look; ears laid back. It was obvious to Rem that she was in no mood for Noire's playful antics, but the very young do not always listen and with a light snort the colt pranced past his father with a touch if defiance in his step.

Anann felt a tug on the bear skin cloak she held hugged around her shoulders. She was not oblivious to the antics of the young roan behind her. Though he hardly looked roan for his darkened winter coat. Enough, Noire. Yes, I know you're back there. She said gently, though not withou an edge of annoyance. She'd have sent the pair of them off already, if would have done her any good to try. Her tone was not so gentle a moment later when the cloak was pulled from her shoulders. As she spun to face him the cloak hung from the mouth of Noire's bobbing head. Enough, I said! She growled as she angrily snatched for the hide. Her stern change in tone caused the colt dropped the fur cloak in an instant and retreat behind Rem. Only to peer around his sire's wide frame and back at the grumpy wolf. The poor thing was finding her behavior rather odd. Rem only gave a soft sigh. He had known from the start of it all that something had been troubling Anann. The boy would learn in time. Just as he once had.

The journey from there was without much event as Anann walked rather sullenly. Her horses trailing like dark shadows behind her. She didn't know what had brought her down towards the shattered coast; lands she had once called home. Yet, she did not steer towards the familiar and instead ventured to Halifax. The last place any one looking for her would think to search.

After wandering the streets the small company had come to rest in a park. Though now overgrown and reclaimed by nature it was still a garden in its own right. The once tended flower beds had gone to wild seed and there was nothing to keep the grass trimmed short and even. It was an oasis in the desert of steel and concrete.

Anann had laid out in the sun to rest while the horses grazed on whatever they could find. A golden hand rested over the cream of her abdomen as she looked up at the gray sky. A soft sigh escaping her mouth. She wasn't sure how this had happened. She certainly hadn't thought she had been in season and if she had they certainly would have waited. But would they be ready? Would she ever be ready? The harder she searched for the answer the more uncertain she felt.

Rem gave a light snort as something caught the stallion's attention. Propping herself up on her elbows Anann watched the horse as he looked of towards several shops, though they were blocked from Anann's immediate view. Whatever it was, the friesian seemed captivated by it, though Noire had given barely a glance before he returned to his grazing. It had been a giggling noise that had first caught his attention and as it echoed lightly through the streets like the tinkle of bells the horse plodded along after the noise. What is it, Rem? Anann asked, as she clambered to her feet and placed the black bear cloak around her shoulders.
