Eclipse was in her lupus form running through the cold laden land, feeling as free as any loner. She was in a good mood today and it showed in her bounce and zig zags as she chased after any invisible prey. She had met a few that she had seen before and though there was an encounter she could have lived without, she was still excited in who all she was to meet in the coming days. So when she saw the enormous man... It wasn’t hard to miss him, she stopped mid stride and watched as he set up something out on the old docks. Her eyes went from him, as he left to do whatever it was he was doing, to the line in the water. Why did he leave it? What was it for? Taking her time she changed from her lupus to optime, her ears pressed foreward, she looked to see where the man was and headed for the pole. It was probably a better idea of going to the man but this thing was far more fascinating, besides she wouldn’t touch it, she just wanted to know what it was.
The young girl wasn’t too sure about the pier though and the water below.... she hesitated, the water was not her friend, and had never been one to be friendly towards the young woman, so she carefully walked across the old wooden pier to get a closer look, she felt the wood under her feet shudder and she dropped to all fours. Well it was better this way anyway... the thought, closer look at the amazing contraption, so on her hands and knees the woman moved to the pole and took a harder look at it. There was nothing special about it except the string hanging from it, for she could see that there was string on it, though it was hard. The only way she could tell that it was there was the sun shining on it as she moved to get a closer look. ‘Look, don’t touch’ Was her thoughts. Her eyes slid back to where the wolf had been, but he wasn’t there, he probably moved somewhere else.... her attention was entirely on this interesting wooden contraption, even as plain as it was. She looked in the water where the string had gone but saw nothing in its freezing merky depths. How curious.
