The Russo's shoulders suddenly deflated as he let out a long, heaving sigh. He could not be angry, especially as his line was still secured and taut in the water. The woman was sorry, and had not touched the fishing line. It was not truly a concern for the fishing line or whatever fish might have been on the line at the moment. He was more worried for an all too curious stranger picking at the line and perhaps pulling it out and getting stung by the baited barbed hooks attached to the line. He did not want to be responsible for some too curious pup or young adult getting a hook stuck in their paws or in their cheeks because they did not understand better. As a young one, he had gotten pricked by a hook. Thankfully, it had done nothing more than prick the skin of his paw before he yelped away.
The young woman hunched before him, and the Russo could not help but sigh ever louder. Sitting down on the pier, legs crossed beneath him to keep from scaring the fish below, Anatoliy slouched slightly into his lap. "I'm not going to do any hurting. Is not a problem, since you did not touch." He tugged at the line with an absent finger, feeling it tense and twitching in his mild grasp. There had to be at least one fish on that line. Still, the Russo let his fingers slip away from the line and back to his lap. Coyote gold eyes watched the brown young woman. "I am not going to be biting you. Calm." She was clearly terrified of him, but he was a giant man. "Vhy come so far from home? Is not much here to see." There was nothing much here, that was very true. Why would the woman really bother coming to such a place with nothing but derelict houses and piers? "Are you hungry?" he asked gently, gesturing towards the line with a thumb.
