Silence! Oh blessed silence! She felt like she could roll around in it for all eternity. All of her brood of four were out, playing, making friends and getting to know their pack members and future allies of their lives. Leaving her alone to celebrate in the small sliver of peace she had received. Obviously she cared very much for her children and loved their company completely but sometimes even mothers need rest and quiet, serenity instead of a hectic dash of questions, games, fun, endless fun and watchfulness. The woman did quite literally roll around in the peace, on her and Temo's bed all the while giggling madly with glee.
After a while of this childish nonsense she turned onto her stomach and stuck her head neath the pillow, blocking out the light as well and sighed, relaxing into the mattress with delight. She trusted her pack mates to keep her children safe and woe betide them if any came back with even a hair out of place. A rumble of contentedness made its way up her throat to be released into the quilting and furs of her bed. She could not ask to be happier really, her children were happy and healthy, her mate was gorgeous and so very caring, her pack was safe for now and her home had stood up to the snowfall, the horses were doing well and the foal was growing nicely.
She remained there for some time with her head buried beneath the pillow just listening to the quiet of her house and the occasional slivers of noise from the outsides, the wind whistling through the cracks and crevices, it was all so relaxing and serene. It wasn't long before her eyes began to drift towards closed and her mind began to run away from her off into the beginnings of sleep.
