Budding Strangeness

Dalgina's tail wagged as she watched her white brother approach her. She found it amusing that their fur colors were so different. Her artistic mind always soared when they touched, creating images of black and white that twisted together. Always they were different, altering to her emotions. They weren't as intricate as the pictures that Honrin held in his mind, but already flares of beauty were being added to otherwise simple pictures. A twist here, a curling vine there. They never looked like anything but squiggles to people outside of Dalgina, as she only had her nose and paws to scrape her art with.

A gentle bump accompanied Honrin's arrival. Happily she brushed back against him. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, no matter who they were. Dalgina took on a slightly more submissive pose, putting herself just below her brother. She had no desire to scrape and fight for dominance, though she would go her own way when an idea caught at her. Dalgina was willing to follow along and daydream as the others explored. Moving back down the hall Dalgina waited for Honrin to follow before racing the rest of the way into the room she'd covered in dust.

Proudly she pointed down. Look! I made pictures with the fire dust. Smudging it around had allowed some parts of it to actually rub on the floor, making it more than just dust lying around. Scurrying to the other side Dalgina nudged a bit of dust that was left over, making a clear print of her nose in the center. The dark dust formed a small circle around it. See?
