Honrin's carefree laughter lightened Dalgina's spirits even more. So often he was quiet, tucked away on his own. Only Pandora could approach him in those moments, breaking the chilly air that seemed to wrap around him at those times. Dalgina couldn't reach him then, the sadness penetrating her tender heart too deeply. The one time she had managed to get near him she'd ended up in tears, crying about something nobody else seemed to grasp, not even Dalgina able to explain what had upset her so much.
The sound of a crash had Dalgina spinning around. She laughed as Honrin bounded back towards her, crying that she'd be caught. No! Turning she ran again, heading for her secret hiding spot. It didn't take long to reach, hitting the living room. She was panting so hard as she raced for her box, worried that at any minute she would feel Honrin on her back. The box came into view, and with a burst of speed she squeezed through the tiny hole, wriggling in the gap before popping out the other side. Nervously she checked to see if she'd been caught. She couldn't tell, the dust blending into her dark fur.
