its okay, ive been MIA for a while too lol

It was almost like her thoughts had called someone that a cruel voice met her ears, and made Rio jump. She crawled away a little, like a crab, and turned herself to face him. The way he startled her was no secret, and it was written on her face as she stared up at him for those few seconds. She didn’t recognize him, and didn’t know if she should have. Rio stood in her place in the sand, brushing off any sand that entwined itself in with her fur. The sand that she managed to shake off, fell to the floor with little whisps of noise. ”Who are you to call me stupid?” Stupid question, but what else was she supposed to say to this male who literally came out of nowhere?

Rio’s eyes never left the strange man before her; she didn’t trust him and got the feeling that she shouldn’t. His features told her that he was a coyote and his scent told her that he was from Inferni. Great. She feared most Infernians, only because they were ruthless coyote dirt. Inferni gave a bad name to all coyotes that crossed her path, and most of them weren’t the best of creatures to be socializing with.

Unclaimed lands, to Rio, weren’t exactly like those outside of Souls lands. Those were much more vile, and she would not drift off into space in those, but Souls had different kinds of wolves living in them. Most of which did not take advantage of the freedom and do criminal and violent acts when travelling into the unclaimed territories. Obviously, this brute before her wasn’t one to follow the good crowd because he seemed to be thrilled that she was caught off guard. Rio’s stomach sank, and she suddenly felt more vulnerable than she started out feeling. To try to save what little comfort she had left in her, she reached out a paw and stated, ”I’m Rio, Rio Marino.” But to her own stupidity, she realized not all canines knew what a ‘handshake’ was, and in her mind the barbaric Infernis definitely didn’t have a clue. Rio dropped the arm that signaled the handshake at her side, and stood there stiffly.
