He can have a broken bone, and lots of bleeding, but he needs to stay alive His mind wandered around from one subject to the other, from thinking about Orin, making himself feel far more depressed than he should, or a few days before leaving, when he gave Juliet her flute, she was so excited, yet she didn’t show much more than a wag of a tail and a hint of a smile. That smile Shawchert would try to hold in his memory forever. He wished he could see her smile again, but he knew it would be best if his karma, his tainted self was as far from his children as it was possible to be. He moved silently, his whole body still bandaged from the fight only a week before, but everything still hurt even the torn ear he had recieved, which now was what bothered him the most. His arm was well enough to move around and he was healed enough to be on all fours, so he knew all couldn’t be bad if he was healing.
A scent came to him and he stopped abruptly. He sniffed the air and looked around only to spot a black figure close by. His heart skipped a beat, normally he would greet the stranger, but right now he didn’t want company, no he just wanted to go as far as possible. It seemed he wouldn’t make it without the other spotting him, so he looked down at his paws as he started trotting away from the man, trying to skirt from view, though in these flat frozen lands it was easy to spot a big brown and red brute. He wouldn’t have a chance if this man wanted to hurt Shawchert, but Shaw didn’t want to risk him being nice either. He just wanted to go, so he pretended to have not noticed the other as he moved past.
