woo, glad I got this done wooo

His mother called them all to her, to the two of them, Anu and her. Silvano had no idea what it was about, though he did know that people were migrating away from the Dreamers to other places, more so than usual lately. Giselle and he had been mostly in a honeymoon phase, though Silvano had chosen to limit their matehood duty, especially since he saw the way Giselle was about it. It was not what she thought nor what she understood, but at least she did not run from him for it. It was normal, but sometimes the Sadira was worried for her. She wanted young of her own and this was the only way to do it. How could she be so naive? Despite that, he loved his mate to no end and could hardly believe that he had that title and that he shared it with her. How did he ever get to be so lucky? What a son of a gun.

For the meeting, Silvano had done little more than brush out his hair as best as possible and let Giselle do whatever she wanted. Then, hand in hand, they left their shared room. It had been no feat getting to the meeting, for all the mated pair had to do was leave the Manor and they were there. Sitting beside her, one of her hands locked in his as he pressed his shoulder against her's comfortingly. Just in case, he knew, for any bad news that his mother might bring them. Her news what not new to him. Silvano simply gave a sigh of relief, though he was worried for the small gathering of his pack mates. Were they always so small in number? He could hardly believe it.

Emerald eyes watched the first man rise to give a speech. A hint of a smirk came onto the mottled man's lips, as he thought of the man's speech as much too passionate and far to cheesy to be taken with any level of seriousness. It was rather amusing, though he kept his look as level as he could. There was no need for such a display from him. His mother knew where he stood in with the Dreamers; it was his home and he would not go anywhere, not when his family was here. But Giselle was now a part of that family, and he had to think about her, too. It was still the best place to be. That was not a question. Squeezing his mate's hand, he gently licked the side of her muzzle with affection. They may have short numbers now, but he was a happy man.

Silvano heard the snort from someone behind him, and he peered over his shoulder. He saw their lowest ranked man there. Of all people to stay, it was surprising he had. Honestly, the Sadira knew nothing of him, though he gave the man a deep warning frown. Disrespect was not tolerated, especially at so public an event. Sure, Silvano had given a light smirk, but that was not terribly rude and it had vacated his face almost as fast as it had come. Oh, well. If it was a problem, his mother would mete out the punishments as she saw fit.
