As much as she kept to herself, Artemis was a Dreamer and there was a deep-seeded pride in that. The silver girl had no intention of ever deserting her pack, as so many had done recently, it seemed, and she could not imagine anything that would change that for her. And so when her mother called for the wolves of the pack, for their family, the young Marino went without question or hesitation. Such was the way of pack life for the young Italian wolf. Her pack and her family was her first and foremost; she wanted and needed nothing more, for now.

Perhaps someday she would find what her brother and sister had found with Giselle and Mati, respectively. Artemis had never given love and mateship much of a thought, and hardly thought herself to be ready. There had never been anyone that stood out obviously to her, though she had to admit that her stomach fluttered just a little when... No. Artemis shook her head briskly, walking towards the manor and away from the lake with a loping gait. Now was not the time to think of that.

She slowed her paws as she neared the gathering, settling herself in to listen to her mother's warm, strong voice. It was a sound she would always recognize, a voice that could comfort her the most when she needed it. Pale silver ears flicked back and pressed against her skull as she looked around, noting for the first time how small the pack looked when her mother spoke of it. Artemis had not realized that so many had chosen to leave... And for what? She frowned; the girl hadn't the faintest idea.

Soft blue eyes scanned the wolves that had gathered, and for a moment she was startled visibly by the black wolf's outburst. She did not know him, but she agreed with the basic meaning of his speech, even if the speech itself was not necessary. Crimson Dreams would always have her loyalty as long as it remained the pack that it was. If her mother and Anu were gone, and if the pack's heart were to shift, then perhaps that would be subject to change. That would never happen, though.
