Cypress had wasted little time in answering the Consul’s call and gathering with the others that had congregated outside the Manor. He quietly seated himself down next to his best friend, greeting Missa with head bump to the shoulder and a smile as he did. It wasn’t all that often that they were called together and in his time it had seldom proven to be for good news. Though the recent celebration of Silvano and Giselle’s mateship was a sure exception.
Like many of the others, Cypress couldn’t help but scan the faces of those gathered as she spoke. The majority of which were family, for at it’s core that was exactly what Crimson Dreams was. Yet, some of the faces that were missing had also been family. How was it they did not feel the way he felt? But then, that was hypocritical of him, wasn’t it? It had not been that long ago that he had dreamt of a different home and a different life, but that had only been because had not yet realized that he already had what he was looking for. Crimson Dreams is his home, his family.
Once Savina had stop speaking a dark male that he did not personally know stood from the crowd. The action itself had drawn Cypress’ attention. His words and actions were confusing and for the first instant Cypress nearly thought he was accusing Savina of not being worthy of their respect. Yet, before he could rise in anger the true intentions of the male’s speech became apparent at which point Cypress found it most humorous, though he did his best to hide his grin.
It was likely he was still new to the pack and had yet to realize the vast family ties of the majority of the pack. To Cypress’ ears it was overzealous and a bit over the top. He only hoped that Kota would prove true to his words, rather than just trying to make a good impression in the moment.
