As the stranger turned back to looking around, Drakien did the same, walking over to pick up the pipe he'd dropped and beginning to poke around again. At the airy question, he shrugged, waving a hand in the air absently. "The Romani; gypsies." He added, and then paused as the pipe let out the clanging sound of metal hitting metal. He bent to pick it up, and found a shining silver ring, which he slipped into a pocket. Jewelry always made a pretty penny, especially if you knew what it was worth, and Drakien knew enough about metal to be able to examine it later and see.
He smiled at the stranger's reassurance, turning to look at him. "Ah, good. Trespassing often leads to fate worse than death, no?" He chuckled, and then paused, frowning thoughtfully at the others' admission. "I am finding few things. Shiny silver, glittering gold. Often good for trade, especially good with women." He added, and then used the pipe to shift through what looked to be a bit of collapsed roof. There was very little there, he had to admit, and moved further into the house, picking things off what few shelves hadn't rotted and collapsed to study.
He was oblivious to, or perhaps ignoring, the unabashed way the other was staring at him; but after finding very little he could use, trade, or refurbish, he turned with a little smile and said hopefully, "You mentioned wine?"
Drakien wasn't an alcoholic. He didn't drink unless he had someone to drink with, but after that....well, everything got a bit blurry after that.
