Diamonds and rust

Sebastian nodded sagely. Human jewellery did tend to last, but it also became tarnished and dull. Sebastian had found little of value in Halifax, but that was mainly because he hadn't bothered looking. He had never had any special interest in jewellery, as he had other ways of getting money. Besides, the cellar of wine had been a much better asset to him than all the jewels in Halifax.

"Indeed," he smiled, pleased. He always enjoyed meeting fellow artisans, especially fellow painters. Musicians, however, were masters of a wholly different art form entirely. Aside from plucking a few lyre and guitar strings, as well as tapping tunes out on an ancient piano, Sebastian's only talent in music was his voice. Which was admittedly pretty good, but playing instruments had been difficult for him. "I paint and draw. Anything visual." Sebastian's eyes ran over Drakien's fine form once again. "What instruments do you play, Drakien?"

The smile grew wider as Drakien agreed to his offer. The Italian glanced back outside, looking with some apprehension at the massive horse still lying peacefully on its side. Despite his fear of the beasts, he felt some sympathy. The horse was probably cold.

"Eccellente," he said warmly, turning and flicking his tail. "It is quite close; just a little north of here. Will you be bringing your horse?" he finished with a question, glancing between horse and Luperci. Whatever the answer, Sebastian soon set off up the street with Drakien by his side.
