Luckily, Odessa had not been far away when Imhotep had called from the borders. A mile and a half away at the most and so the journey was no trial to the medic. Her legs carried her easily and she dashed towards the scent of the foreign dog. When he had accepted her request to join her in Salsola, she had been delighted. Even more so when a date had been set. And in the morning, there had truly been no description of her feeling. Odessa assumed euphoria was as close as anyone ever got to naming it. Love wasn't something she had considered closely but soon it would dawn on her. 'Imhotep! You came!' she hollered, embracing him tightly. Suddenly she stepped away, casting her gaze down sharply. 'So...' she began, still recovering from her embarrassment. 'How are you? Did you bring the gifts? What did you bring?' She paused, smiling shyly again. 'Sorry'. She didn't like to think she was bombarding him with queries.
Pumpkin eyes sailed upon the horizon as she let out another howl. A notification that Odessa was here and that this was her business. Something relating to her. Imhotep was sure to get into the ranks on that fact alone. Odessa was, after all, loosely related to the leadership and a family member. The medic was sure that would be enough to persuade the leadership, but, ultimately, Sirius and Eris' word was final.
