Eris is by Kiri, a gift from Sylvey!

The dark-hued woman frequently attended to the newcomers of Salsola, as was her responsibility. Sirius's realm was that of tactical decisions and other such things Eris would have done miserably. Her charisma was her strength, and Eris made certain to use this to her advantage. Salsola, too, was best served by their leaders doing their separate, equally important duties. Mothers and fathers did not perform the same tasks: while the father hunted, the mother fed the children. So it was the same with the Colotl ranks of Salsola. Sirius was their father, their hunter; Eris was their mother, their protector.

Odessa greeted her with a smile, and the dark-hued woman returned it, still paying little heed to the golden-hued man. Odessa's question was answered with a nod of her head, as the dark woman understood such pleasantry was counterproductive to their purpose here on the borders. Still, it would have been rude of Odessa not to inquire on her leadership, so the dark woman would not leave the question entirely unanswered. Just fine, she answered, breezily. In truth, it was stressful caring for her three daughters, Basilaris, Salvador, and her newest kitten, but she would not speak such in front of this newcomer to Salsola. She might have confided such information to Odessa if the pair of canines were alone, but they were not, and Eris would not lament that they had a third companion on this day, especially not if he were to become one of their family.

The hybrid again nodded as her dark companion introduced the golden-hued canine, and Eris's gaze turned toward the man with Odessa's. The Auxiliary fearlessly inspected his golden jewelry and the smeared kohl-black around his eyes. She found him physically pleasing, albeit not of her usual preference: her preferred sort of male had much more physical evidence of his strength, though she did not think Imhotep was lacking in any sort of strength. On the contrary, he would serve Odessa well, if he became her own. The dark-hued woman did not speak such, merely continued smiling her reserved smile as the dog hybrid bowed and then spoke. Eris knew she needed no introduction when he spoke her name, and when he seemed quite finished, she took a moment to consider, placing one hand contemplatively beneath her chin as her yellow-green eyes darted from her Family member to this newcomer.

Well, she began, dropping a considerably contemplative pause just after this word, her eyes moving to the overcast sky to the west. As quickly as they'd moved off, they returned, shifting first from Odessa and then to Imhotep himself. How might your talents give strength to Salsola? she inquired, still smiling. And surely -- you must have a gift? the dark hybrid asked, fingers itching to touch whatever it was he'd brought to Salsola for her. Surely, with one such as Odessa to guide him in their processes of acceptance, Imhotep should know to have a gift. Do you speak for him? the Auxiliary added, turning her question toward Odessa as her speech came to desinence. She trusted her dark-hued niece to bring only those capable of benefiting the pack to her border, else she might have interrogated Imhotep with more harshness. Eris had, however, developed a profound respect for the ashen-hued girl -- perhaps even more respect than Eris had for Wisteria, Odessa's pale mother.
