Eris is by Nat!

The dark woman was, indeed, all about her gifts. The practice was a treasured one within Salsola. One might expect a canine with such fondness for gifting to be stingy; one might expect Eris to be particularly so, as she was The Auxiliary and her rank might have afforded her such perks, should she have sought them. The raven-hued woman, however, was not in the least persnickety with sharing her presents and treasures with the remainder of Salsola. And, in truth -- anything which added to her joy was for the betterment of Salsola in the end, after all, so even if she had not shared her bounty with the remainder of the pack, the gifting of the Colotl ranks served the pack well, regardless.

The raven-hued Auxiliary listened with rapt attention as the golden man spoke, and a fiercely wicked grin spread across her muzzle at his jape. If he fought better than his English, then his fighting would not be shabby at all -- the coyote woman had no trouble understanding the man through the flavorful spice of his accent and his imperfect speech. The hybrid's interest became more apparent as she leaned forward, looking after him without any apprehension as he dug in the bag. She trusted Odessa to bring her only the best, and she had the distinctive feeling she would not be disappointed with this one. He drew from his bag a set of jars, apparently ceramics or clayware, and the dark woman looked upon them curiously, not understanding at first. They appeared dingy and extremely old, and the coyote was ready to be offended when the man spoke.

Immediately, her interest was again piqued, and her greenish-yellow eyes flared with excitement of that word -- liver. She pondered to herself whether Imhotep's people held beliefs similar to those in Eterne. It would not have surprised her -- many of the world's religions seemed to have the same repetitive elements. Siv's trio and Larkspur's trio of gods, the Eternian concepts of sight and visionaries -- these things had proven truthful, and the dark-furred coyote was eager to find other reflections of her own liver-relevant beliefs elsewhere in the world. A lovely gift, she declared, unable to keep herself from interrupting him then and there. I should like for you to teach me more of these beliefs in the future.

The coyote fell silent and listened intently to the rest of the exchange, taking but a moment to consider after Imhotep had ceased speaking. Salsola can always use more muscle, she declared, nodding her head as if to emphasize the sentiment. We also have a garden, which you might assist us in tending -- I'm sure Odessa has at least mentioned such, she said, certain Odessa would have revealed only just enough regarding their garden and its goods. More important than your skills, though -- Imhotep, would you swear fealty to Salsola? Would you give us your loyalty? she inquired. This was, of course, the most important question to be asked upon the borderlands. Her interest had apparently evaporated, and now the coyote was a woman of serious business and serious intent.
