Loneliness and alcohol

WC: 552. I'm guessing this takes place on the 20th or 21st? :x

He could not imagine feeling more alive than when he strode up over the hill and saw the clearing before him, colorful tents of varying sizes emerging from the ground like unnatural flowers. The great lake shimmered under a clear, but crisp day, but what excited the coywolf more were the dozens - maybe even hundreds - of intrigued souls casually wandering the stocked markets. Jack nickered next to him and tossed his head, and the coywolf grinned slyly. He did not understand the low speech of horses, but the multicolored hybrid liked to think he did. "Let's get y' settled in, eh?" Bangle made his descent by foot, carrying nearly as much on his back as the black and white spotted creature beside him did. A chorus of sounds rang out when he became one with the crowd of noisy merchants and wandering buyers - nothing but another blur of color and sound filling the senses.

And yet, it felt like home.

Managing to shoulder his way around, vibrant orange eyes drank in the scenery that made up the winter festival. The man was eager to explore, but also eager to set up his own wares, his tongue itching to call out to that lost soul whom he would convince needed one thing or another. "All in good time.." He muttered to himself as he led the horse to Cercatori's painted tent, large enough to accommodate more than the coywolf could imagine. The merchant's job had to be done first before he could enjoy himself - though if this was his line of work he didn't much mind it. Humming a tune in his throat, he shrugged a few things off his own back as Draw approached. "Ah, yer a welcome sight, friend!" Together, they unloaded Jack of the things Bangle brought from the pack, everything from small livestock to sets of crafting tools and brushes that would be needed for the day's events.

"Thank yeh, friend," the bat-eared male said kindly as the horse was free of burden. The coywolf had left his own toolbelt and satchels strapped to him - one never know when they would need it - and grabbed the animal's halter and exited the tent. His ears twitched wildly at the unfamiliar sounds and calls of wolves and coyotes that came from all parts of the world, yet his goofy smile remained like a painting on his face. "It's jus' like home should be, Jack! Jus' look at 'em, all willin' to buy anythin' you can sell.." The former gypsy seemed to come alive once again within him with each step he took, before he had even begun his own trading. He was anxious, and it showed.

With many things colliding against his own form, the merchant lead Jack towards the corral, eying a tall man that crouched over his things, inspecting his treasures for their worth. He, too, looked like a stranger out of place, but in this festival of fools, it did not matter where one came from. A deal was a deal, after all. Bangle stopped briefly only a few feet away from the man, knowing his presence was well announced by his own sounds as well as the clopping of hooves on the earth. "See y' got quite a haul there, friend."
