Silent Addictions

Haha awww! That's okay, I'm sure she'll be over-joyed as well.

She might have heard the howl if she had been paying attention, but at that moment in time she had been knee-deep in mourning over a meal that could have been hers. Now, however, her attentive ears picked up almost immediately on the footsteps of another creature, and her head snapped in the direction they seemed to be coming from, the smell aiding her gaze. The figure was large, well-muscled even, but she couldn't quite make out the details. Tentatively, she took a step closer, and her heart nearly stopped in her chest as she looked the creature over. The black-tipped ears and nose paired with the vicious scars along his face were what gave him away, for if it had not been for those marks she might not have recognized him; his smell was mixed with the scent of a pack altogether unfamiliar, and he looked a little more...healthy. But this was no doubt her 'big boy,' the male she had played with that early winter's night so long ago, there was no mistaking that now.

The brightest of smiles spread across her dark face as she noted the look on his own. She chuckled softly, her tail swaying to and fro as she took yet another step closer. Eventually her paws brought her nearly nose to nose with the man, and she lowered her head just enough to look at him from beneath her shading lids, a look flirtatious enough to conceal all of the childish things she WANTED to do in greeting him, like tackling him and licking his face until the fur fell from it, for instance. She straightened up then, her cocky air returning as she asked, What's the matter handsome? You look like you've seen a ghost.

Stepping closer, she brushed her shoulder against his and tilted her head upward just enough for her nose to nestle in the crook below his salt-n-pepper ear. Surely you remember me? she whispered, then grinned before playfully nipping the soft cartilage and slithering past him to stand behind him, throwing a look over her shoulder that portrayed her desire to stay put this time if he wished to chase her.
