Silent Addictions

Still, I want a dog or puppy or some sort of canine lol. My apt. won’t even let us have a fish…

Her attempt to trip Augustus had failed, but that didn’t entirely disappoint her. Instead, it gave her an excuse to snuggle up to the large male and wrap her tiny frame around his. He smirked at her, and Blind returned the look with a grin of her own, one that reached her bi-colored eyes and portrayed a look of foxiness as she answered his question with a simple, Just playing. Lowering her head, the lithe wolfess slipped underneath his large body, her back brushing against his belly until she emerged again near his tail. She took a couple steps forward so as to put only a few paces distance between them, her snout turning so that she could better peer at him from over her shoulder. She giggled, much like the young girl had when she was a pup, her mischievous nature turned on to its full extent. She very much enjoyed playing with Augustus, and she showed him just how much by whirling around and nipping at his flank so lightly that it almost could have been considered a mere prick of her teeth. She lowered to the ground then, curling her body up tight so as to protect herself from any following attacks, despite how good-natured they might be.

As Blind watched the dust-pelted wolf, it suddenly dawned on her why she had been so happy that morning: her mind had, yet again, tricked her into a false sense of security, her emotions lying to her brain as if they had been a scolded child facing a parent. Really, she was distraught and nearly beside herself with pain; she hadn’t wanted to leave her hybrid friend the day prior to her encounter with Augustus. But they were undergoing very different life changes, ones that would eventually pull them apart and send them on their separate ways for good if Fate deemed it so. Blind often wished she had been born part coyote so that she could attempt to join Inferni and never leave her friend again, but that was not who she was. The young wolfess tilted her head then – no, she was in fact a wolf, not a coyote. Born of wolf parents and carrying genes passed down through generations of wolves. Her destiny was not to be with this hybrid, or any other for that matter. Her eyes flickered back to Augustus as she made this realization, and a warm smile crept across her maw. No, she was meant to be with wolves…wolves like him.

Rising to her paws once again, she hardly gave him a chance to react to her lowered position as she snuck over to him and tucked her head beneath his once more. A pink tongue slipped out from her jaws and aimed to lap at the brute’s neck, ears, and face. Lowering her haunches ever so slightly, she tucked her tail between her thighs and flattened her ears, whimpering softly as her tongue sought to catch his snout. She would do whatever it took to please this male; she wanted him to be the first to look at her as a blessing and not a mistake. She wanted him to see her as only Soran ever had, and more. Finally ceasing her licking, she looked up at Augustus with patient eyes as if waiting for him to answer her silent pleas. And then she muttered, I will go with you Augustus.
