Silent Addictions

A surprise for me? Big Grin And your post is lovely, what are you talking about?!

Augustus’ moves were rather odd, and the dark wolfess couldn’t help but giggle at the funny fellow. He moved as if he were stepping on glass, each paw-step threatening to shatter the delicate surface and send them both tumbling into oblivion. Perhaps he was afraid, as she often was, that this was a dream they’d wake up from? Perhaps he was actually…HAPPY with her presence? With a brief swoop of her long tail, Blind nuzzled her body against the large wolf’s as he returned her licks, giggling once more at the pink tongue attacking her entire head. A tiny yip escaped her lips, and soon she found herself engulfed in a sound that overpowered her own: the dust-pelted wolf had his head thrown back, his mouth agape as he called out to the wilderness in an expression of his joy at her answer.

Blind lifted her own dark head to howl with him, her song a light and wistful tone compared to his deep and moving one. Their singing was interrupted, however, when Augustus finally lowered his head and barreled into her in one swift movement. With a surprised bark, Blind plummeted to the ground, her soft belly exposed as she looked up at the sky with wide, blinking eyes. Her smile returned quickly, however, and she wiggled around like a pudgy kitten on the ground as she looked up at the male, giggling softly again. Despite the pain she’d felt earlier, now she genuinely was happy, and the feeling was like releasing her breath after having held it for hours.

Her body held still then, her eyes alight with pleasure as they held the lemon-lime gaze of the other. Another giggle crossed the threshold of her dark lips as she fought the urge to turn back onto her belly. Though the Blind that had first arrived in Nova Scotia would have become nervous at the prospect of being so vulnerable, the she-wolf that lie before Augustus now stayed still in order to indulge the curiosity of what he was going to do next. He seemed as bouncy as a pup, the lolling tongue and wagging tail only coaxing more giggles from the fae’s throat as she pawed at Augustus and yipped once again. And she was going to see this face for perhaps the rest of her life, as she’d share a pack with him and the rest of his comrades. THAT thought terrified her, not being exposed. What if she couldn’t fit in with this pack either? What if she failed her interview with the alpha and wasn’t even permitted to cross their borders? So many thoughts swirled around in her head that for a moment she forgot what was going on. But somehow, that strong, dusty face tugged her back into reality and quieted her worries, and her smile broadened at the relief.
