Augustus noticeably hesitated, but whether it was in thought or regret at knocking her over Blind couldn’t tell. She lied still all the while, however, waiting for the large male to do something. His head tilted then, and she opened her mouth to comment on it, even ask what he was thinking, but his next action rendered her speechless. As his dark snout trailed down her vulnerable flesh, she felt a tingle follow it until it exploded beneath the tattooed sparrow on her naval. An indistinguishable urge silently begged him to go lower, but logic jerked her body around until she was lying with her back to him. Looking at him suspiciously over her shoulder, a tiny chuckle escaped her lips before she stretched toward him to nip at his face, her tail not neglecting to wag beneath him. Yes? What are you thinking grizzly bear? she jeered, not caring in the least that the pet name she’d chosen for him was rather silly. He was just as masculine and as gruff as a grizzly bear, so in her mind it fit him perfectly.
Another nip was stolen from his ears before she sat up, nuzzling her dark body against his neck and chest. She felt somewhat determined to leave her scent on him, to show the other females – whether of his pack or otherwise – that she had spent time with him, that she had gotten this close to him, and that she had played in such a way with him. She didn’t want to claim him just yet, nor did she want him to claim her. But the mere thought of him doing the same things with another woman sent her jealous raging, and the desire to keep others away was nearly overwhelming. For all the times that she’d never stood up for herself or fought for something, she would make it up now. With a flutter of her feminine lashes, Blind emitted a throaty growl as she rubbed herself against him once more, and then she paused before grinning devilishly and dipping her head to nuzzle against his own belly.
