Sophie allowed her chin to be tilted up so that she might meet Light's eyes, her own blue orbs blinking slowly as he reassured her that girls could go to the fair, and there'd be some already there. She batted her lashes at him a bit more, not quite sure whether she should believe him or not, but when he also promised she could go as soon as Leon came back, she perked up, her tail wagging slowly. "Okay," She agreed, and attempted a smile, though it came out somewhat watery and still wary, " 'F you say so, Mister Light." As the elder male began looking around, Sophie did, too, putting her nose to the ground and snuffing curiously at the dirt and grass she found there. That was all she smelled, though; earthen things, and sometimes traces of Boothe, as if he'd peed there. He probably had.

Wrinkling her nose, she lifted it again, and looked to Light for guidance, waiting patiently while he fixed his hair and then, quite unexpectedly, bent and tied a feather into the fur at her nape, behind her ear, calling her a true AniWayan as he did so. Sophie wagged her tail eagerly, trying to turn her head to look at the feather, but it stayed just out of her vision, for the most part. She could see its white tip, though, and her tail wagged even harder as she saw it, rather liking the look of it in her fur.

Light remained kneeling beside her, and as he braided and they both tried to figure out where her brothers could have gone, Sophie couldn't help but think of the festival, and how much fun it would be. He'd said other than the festival, though, specifically specified that he didn't want to go, and she was left stomping her paws lightly on the ground and turning in circles as she thought. "Um," She thought, and pressed her ears back, enjoying the feeling of her new feather fluttering against her neck. "Um. Boothe don't like the stables. He don't like horses." She explained, and shifted her feet again, turning in another little circle of thought. "They could...could maybe be..." She tried to think of the packlands, and what little she'd explored of them, but there was nothing, really, that caught her attention so spectacularly, and she doubted it would catch her brother's. Boothe would want to go to the festival, if he found out about it, and there was no way he wouldn't.

Dropping her shy gaze to her paws, Sophie fell silent, feeling her face heat up as she realized she wanted to go to the festival, too. Not just when Leon got back, but now. With Light. She just didn't have the guts to pester him about it like Boothe would.
