Nova Scotia Ocean - En Route to the Festival

---

The Meria Lea surged into another wave, the swell of water
breaking against the bow of the ship and scattering spray over the deck. While not exactly stormy the ship wasn't travelling through calm waters att he moment and it showed, the deck was slippery with water and tilting from side to side constantly as the Meria hit wave after wave.

Anything that wasn't nailed down had either been shoved into one of the several storage compartments or tied down against the waves, a precaution Neela had taken earlier which had paid off. Off course the risk of actually loosing something was greatly reduced on this particular voyage as Neela had a passenger, Jace's daughter Dalgina. Not only was Neela quite fond of the rambunctious young canine but she was also terrified of the sheer thought of what Jace would do to her if Dalgina were injured from falling off the boat so she had taken precautions; the thick, rope netting that Neela usually used for carrying large quantities of fish was strewn about the boats railings and reinforced with regular rope, there was no chance of Dalgina falling off the boat accidentally.

From her position in-front of the wheel Neela stood firm, her body shifting and moving with the tilting of the boat so that she never moved from her position, a deceptively simple looking but hard to accomplish act that showed the collie's dexterity and experience on a boat, Neela had practically been raised on the sea and had sailed many times before in waters much rougher than this.

Dalgina on the other hand had none of this experience and was still young enough to be locked into her Lupus form. Technically the young puppy was supposed to be in the sleeping quarters, a raised section of the ship enclosed from the outside and lined with pillows and blankets currently located behind Neela. However with all her attention on remaining upright and the wheel and the entrance behind her Neela had no illusions about the puppy's compliance with those orders; if she hadn’t snuck out for at least a few looks around Neela would have been surprised.

The movement of the ship lulled for a moment and Neela gave a start as her battle with the wheel suddenly became much easier. Looking around in the water it seemed that the Meria had come out of the rough water, the swells ahead looking much more tame. As Neela looked around a smile caught on her face, off to the front of them the sun was just beginning to set, the globe of fire dropping and lighting the sea up a beautiful orange. With no terrain to block the suns failing rays the sight was beautiful.

Deciding that the spectacle was pretty enough and the water now calm enough Neela leaned her head back, calling out behind her. "Dalgina! You okay back there? Come out here, I want you to see something"
