Giselle had, in fact, told him about her encounter at the festival. He had been worried that the woman would not want to leave for the fair, though she was okay and came back safe and sound. She had told him of her meeting with Ezekiel. Silvano's face had grown hard when she mentioned him, though he listened with patience and silence. He was glad that nothing had happened. In the end, he couldn't forget that she was his mate and not that man's. He was in Inferni and they would never let her stay there, as he was the son of a leader. Or was it a new leader now? Wasn't he the leader? No way would Giselle ever be welcome in such a place. Really, she was much better off where she was. It certainly made him a happy guy to know she was here and with him.

Giselle had sung on the way to the festival, keeping both of them distracted and entertained. He sighed happily as they walked, having forgotten her discussion before with him. It had been easy to forget that other man, whom he had heard about but never encountered for himself. Silvano was the one with Giselle and not that man. That kept him rather smug and self-satisfied. Ezekiel may have been a real prince, but so was he, wasn't he? His mother was the consul and she lead the pack. He was most definitely a prince of sorts and that was good enough for him now. Giselle was his and that made him happy. He was a jealous sort but he couldn't help it. She was delicate, and terribly naive to boot. Anyone could accidentally steal her without her even knowing. He was just being careful.

Silvano shook his head at the young woman, and smiled. "Oh, yes I do. I have to." He was all serious, though he was definitely smiling at her. She deserved nice things, didn't she? And he would provide. "Well, this time, you'll get a new dress or anything else you really had your mind set on. I'm supposed to help provide for you and I'd like to give you a gift," he said with a gentle kiss to her muzzle. He had brought books aplenty and they would definitely find her something nice before they went to the dance lessons. Silvano led her, arms linked, toward the trading area, where the visitors had brought their own things for trade. Perhaps they would visit the other pack's trading tents.
