[M]'d for Neela and X'yrin being alcoholics ^_^

OOC here.

Neela spun and twirled her way through the crowd, flitting from one dance partner to another constantly as she moved among them, her twirls and strides graceful and precise despite the amount of whiskey that the collie had already imbibed this night.

The festival was an unusual thing for Neela. Generally the Collie drunk sparingly, only allowing herself a little bit of alcohol as a treat every now and then or when it seemed sociable and only drinking heavily when she was upset. However the festival atmosphere was infectious and Neela's supply of whiskey newly expanded so the collie found herself much more drunk than usual.

However her overall mood had carried through into her drunken state and the collie had not fallen into the depression and confusion that often accompanied her drinking too much. Instead she was happy and carefree, as could be seen by her giggles and smiles as she danced her way around a multitude of partners.

The night the dancing that was often confined to a single tent had once again spilled outwards into the main clearing that houses the festival, a large amount of wolves dancing in the light from several large fires. Some were dancing as dedicated couples but others, such as Neela, were more mercenary in their choice, picking up and abandoning partners as the rhythm demanded.

A spin into the arms of a male nearly twice her weight and size, move with him a few paces then extend and break away, almost falling into the arms of a very surprised and petite female for a brief second before Neela continued on, a brief bark of laughter leaving her mouth at the look of confusion on her victim, a brief flash caught before her motion and the crowd tore the vision away.

It was chaotic and confusing but at the moment Neela could think of nothing else she would rather be doing. While planned and practised dances had their own element of fun there was something intoxicating about the unplanned, instinctual dancing going on around her. It reminded her of better times, of alcohol and fish fuelled parties by the sea and of Julian, who had always found her in these kind of dances.

The sombre thoughts only had a second to survive before Neela's hand met another's and they were driven away as the collie twirled in the grasp, taken in once more by the dancing.
