Hadley woke up, his head pounding. Groaning he sat up. What had happened? Glancing around the room he could pretty much guess. He'd gone to another party, planning on living it up as much as possible. There had been lots of canines, pretty ladies, and more than enough alcohol to keep the big male happy. He'd drunk, and danced, and drunk some more...

The end result was pretty clear to see. A couple canines were passed out in the house, empty bottles scattered everywhere. He was pretty sure he'd got some last night, but there was no sign of the pretty blond he'd been chasing anywhere. That was another night off his list, added to the growing addition of forgotten memories. He sat up slowly, cradling his head. First thing first he had to do something about this headache. He stumbled over to the kitchen, finding a bottle that was still half full. Raising it to his lips he took a swig, letting the alcohol sooth his pain. Not the best medicine for a hang over, but it did ease it a little. Grimacing he thought about what his life had been like. Parties, alcohol, and women. Surely there was more to life than that. Grinning he knocked down the rest of the bottle. Well if there was, he sure didn't care. This was the life for him!

Silently screaming Hadley bolted upright. He could still feel the knife digging into his flesh. Panting he reached, checking for the wounds. Nothing but scabs and old scars. There was nothing new there, no seeping wound with Amy standing above him, laughing as she carved into his body. Relieved Hadley looked over to where his master was. She was sound asleep thankfully. She didn't care for being awoken by his screams. That had been a rather painful lesson indeed, waking up to find the nightmare becoming reality. After that his dreams were usually black, leaving the nightmare for his waking hours, but they still slipped in sometimes, especially the worse ones.

Shivering slightly Hadley curled up. There was plenty of furs to block the cold, but Hadley couldn't have that. He was a slave. He had no rights, not even in choices of what he did. He'd tried escaping before, but each attempt had been met with cruel laughter and harsh lessons, shattering his spirit. It was all Hadley could do to keep going, working through the time spent suffering. Things would get better though. He knew it would. He just had to live long enough for things to change. Somehow.
