The intruder spun, crouching into a defensive posture. To have her territory so openly encroached, and then on top of that to have her right challenged nearly blew her mind. She listened to each word with mounting anger. A bitter laugh broke from her lips. There's more than just food to life, fool. Mine's clearly marked. Just remarked it this morning. Now leave! She bristled as the hybrid mentioned Amy not belonging to a pack. That didn't matter in her mind. Amy wasn't a pack creature, and that was just fine with her. She could survive without a pack. She always had, even watching her family to make sure they didn't stab her in the back as surely as she would.
Looking down Amy noticed the other clutch at the daggers. So she wouldn't go gently. That was too bad. Amy would fight, and she wouldn't regret it. The only thing to be wary of was that being pregnant had slowed her down. Not enough to notice at first glance, but after a few exchanges anyone with fighting experience would notice. This would have to be fast. No warning, no chance for the other to react. Grabbing the purse at her side Amy drew a throwing knife. She chucked it at the intruder's head, done talking. Not waiting for the reaction Amy leaped in afterwards, completely silent. The time for growls and challenges was over. Amy slashed forward with her short sword, aiming for the girl's throat.
