Hand to hand would have sufficed for her just fine, as she had no weapons to use or had practiced with for that matter. It could have been an uneven settling with him using a weapon as far as she was concerned and would have been fine to oblige him. There was not certainly to what an opponent would have in an actual fight so such lacking predictabilities would have been fine for her. “If you’d like,” she offered mildly in compliance with a subtle dip of her head. “I am sure this will be a rewarding experience for the both of us.” And quite the cathartic release for her.

Rarely was there an opportunity for her as of late to practice against someone other than her mate. While the benefits of those often long sessions of practice were well seen, it was obviously a disadvantage. Her body had become to acclimated to his movements, too used to the force he used on her and the amount of every she needed to expel to land a blow. X’yrin grew eager as their neared, her tail usually still now a sweep banner stirring the air with its elation. Quite the contradiction for one part of a peace-loving pack to anticipate the inevitable violence that came with a spar. Though one might think that the act of sparring in general was a stronger contrast to the lifestyle of the wolves of Ichika. But like all creatures that could breathe and think, they were subjected to their vices no matter the form their took. And this woman, despite position or rank was no different.
