This was not at all like sparring with her mate, mainly due to the lack of intimacy in their movements as well as constantly dodging an onslaught in an upright position. Given Saul's inexperience, she was forced to be unorthodox, combating in ways that were not traditional in an effort to keep from causing him more harm than necessary. But in her attempts, she could not keep all injuries out of the matter. When her teeth found his wrist, she visible winced for the both of them, and as the pressure increased and the tinge of blood graced her tongue she felt her stomach churn.

Sympathy in sparring was lost on a cold-hearted warrior, but in the present state she was a soft and warm as they came housed within a formidable body. Her instinct would have been to apologize had the wrist still not been in her maw, but even that wasn't awarded to a fighter. Had Saluce been her contender, he would have scolded her for showing an ounce of sympathy, her Shepard as well if he could see her. He would have deemed it an insult for the warrior to feel sorry for their combatant and the Nomad harbored no intent to bring insult onto either of them.

He dropped down along with her, retaining leverage on his left should he need to move. From her left she spied his swing and immediately detached her teeth from his arm as she brought both hands to the ground and pushed herself to the right and back to evade. The fractions of time felt like slow seconds as though she swiftly rolled back from her knees to the balls of her feet, still crouched low in defense as she intended to draw herself further out of his reach and regain her footing.

Sparring:
