Their dance was swift. Yes in her eyes this exchange of blows, of moving forms was another variation of the multitude of dances one’s body could flow with and react to. And such a dance as this her was primed for, and her performance had every intention of resolving with a satisfying finish even if it was simply practice.

She felt the connection of his head beneath her palm and forced him down in a fluid motion exerting both force and will for his submission. But as he had been vulnerable in his actions, so had she been in her attack. She felt the breath of his maw before the pain was received. Her mind was centered only on the execution of her attack. But the pain inevitably reached her, going against her own philosophy of ignoring the physical pain for the sake of succession. But this was not a lesson and her skill was well proven without her dawning the face of a warrior as well. And so she released his head with a forward thrust by her palm, intending to free the boy as well as call an end to their bout.
