She's a maniac, maniac on the floor

Neela Garcia

And she's dancing like she's never danced before

Back-Dated to the 30th. So sorry for the wait in this! Neela is in Optime

Word Count :: +341

Neela's tail wagged gently behind her as the collie woman strolled through the festival, eyes drifting curiously over the myriad of goods on display. The traders had evidently bought some of their best wares to show as the variety and quality was startling to the collie; the traders that passed through her home village had never been able to boast of such wares!

Still despite her interest the collie wasn't buying anything, just looking. While the collie had found a fair bit of luck in trading a large amount of wish for whiskey for the more individually expensive items that she was looking at now she only had a few things to trade, human woodworking and fishing tools which were invariably of higher quality than their Luperci made equivalents if kept in good condition, as Neela had hers

Still Neela's stock of surplus tools was fairly low. Neela had used them commonly for trades back in her home village and hadn’t had the chance to stock up since leaving, despite her best efforts in Halifax.

So for now the collie simply wandered. It was too early for the drunken festivities that Neela had been enjoying thus far to have gotten started yet and so she was stuck with the choice of either wandering around or getting some sleep so she was less tired later. Not feeling particularly sleepy Neela had chosen the former option.

After a little while longer of wandering Neela broke away from the crowd slightly, leaning against the trunk of a shady tree, placing her guitar on the ground beside her, the leather wrapping she kept around the instrument protecting it from the mud. Neela drew the flute that she had found in Halifax from her belt, taking a moment to admire the silvery instrument, and started to play. The sound was still fairly jerky, Neela had been unsuccessful in her quest to find somebody to actually teach her to play it and way learning by trial and error which was, needless to say, slow going.
