[/html]As Tayui pushed herself to run faster and harder, she could still hear Eris behind her. Even though the sun had already started its ascent, it was now in the perfect location to blind and hobble Tayui. She swore viciously when she glanced into the sun and lost her sight for a moment. Suddenly, the entire world was thrown into an oracular confusion. Tayui turned around in time to see Eris bearing down on her, teeth bared. Still dazed from the previous attacks and nearly slipping on the ice, Eris' attack met its mark. Tayui felt the other canine's teeth bear down on her, cutting jagged wounds across her neck.

As quickly as she could, Tayui flung herself away, all the while lashing out with her own teeth and her right paw. She tried to strike Eris across the face and push herself back. Just when she thought she might have found some means of escape, she felt her back legs sink into freezing ice and water.

Even though Tayui knew it was she who had started this fight and this crusade, she wished, vehemently, that this would not be her last fight. It was Eris who had cast the first stone, and although Tayui was not without sin, she wanted to come out of this alive. This was the one thought ringing through her mind and reverberating throughout her body as the cold water singed her paws.[html]
