Hotaru

Word Count → 418 :: For Hotaru, this is flirting.

There were a lot of canines milling about the festival, and even though Hotaru stood on the edge, she could still hear them and smell them with clarity. The sound of approaching footsteps didn't bother her, although her red-tipped ears flicked to the side when she took notice of them. The steps were lithe and fluid, almost indistinguishable from the crowd. Hotaru assumed the stranger would keep walking and just ignore her. She hoped that would be the case, Hotaru really didn't want to talk to anyone. However, as usual, her hopes and wants were ignored by the cruel hands of fate.

Hotaru didn't move, she didn't turn to face the stranger, nor did she acknowledge his presence except for the twitch of an ear. Hotaru just stood, her head leaned back against the tree and her knuckles pounded with a dull ache. While she stood, the blind woman debated whether she should accept his help or tell him to go fuck himself. After a good thirty seconds she finally lowered her head and turned her her unseeing eyes him. Her expression was sad, and pained. Such evident expressions were unusual for the young wolf as she tended to hide her emotions behind a polite facade. However, she was too upset to focus on such things and just let her emotions show. "Only if you can heal a broken heart."

Like most angry females, all she really wanted was to be alone. However, the grey female was not the type to be rude to those who offered her help. Hotaru took her weight of the tree and grabbed hold of her staff that was leaning against the trunk. Hotaru wanted to set off, but something made her stop. It was that silly youthful stupidity that kept her from leaving. The blind wolf turned and strolled back to the strange male, her injured paw raised with her fingers down to show off her bruise. "Actually, would you mind?" The grey female stopped just before she touched him.

If anything, he intrigued her. The strange male sported a very strong Arabic accent, and he smelled of the forest. Although, when Hotaru approached the hound she could pick up the slight scent of an unknown pack. It was very faint, and most would have been detect the telling scent. However, Hotaru's nose was extraordinarily sensitive due to her lack of eyesight. Hotaru smiled a little as she processed the sensory infromation, trying her best to seem friendly despite her foul mood.
