So we slipped behind the rainbow
#12
Merlin kept his pace slow, to make sure the young wolves wouldn't get lost behind him. He sniffed the path as he went for any scent of the young wolves’ previous path- None. He had to applaud these youngsters for such good hiding of their trail, for better or for worse.

He stopped for a moment as the young wolves scanned a large rock. He perched his ears up high as the young she-wolf told him of their previous visit to that spot. "Perfect!" He said smiling and wagging his bushy tail, "Glad to see we're on track."

He was certain that he wouldn't let the young wolves make their home journey alone. He knew they could look after one another, especially the male, Boothe, Merlin believed his sister called him. But Merlin shivered at the thought of danger coming to the young wolves, so as long as they would have him on their journey he would stay.

"So," He began sitting down for a moment, "Remember a trail from here?"
