Having only be back in his homeland for a short amount of time he hadn’t had much time to get everything together. A new joiner would require his attention later in the day but for now he was at the stables. The over worked, under cared for horse of his or at least that’s how the horse seemed to tell it was not in any mood to have a harness put back on him. But his hands where heavy and a low growl gave the beast all the information he needed to understand. While Saluce liked having the horse around and liked his usefulness, it was an unwritten rule, for the protection the horse received by being in his care, he would have to do what Saluce asked of him. If the horse refused then Saluce often reminded him of his stature as a prey animal, a flash of teeth, a low growl and the horse would in the end comply.

Saluce didn’t really care to be as mean as he had to be at times with the horse, for most of his time he allowed him to do as he pleased and didn’t ask him to do much of anything. The harness was hitched to a large cart that had recently been used for their journey to the festival. A loud snort of protest again left the horse showing his ill mood and a flash of teeth soon followed, right in front of his eye. No further protests were given and he was finally glad the horse wasn’t giving him any more of a fuss.

“Keep this shit up, and your food. Don’t think X’y wouldn’t love to wrench out your liver and eat it on a silver platter,” he spoke, not really caring if the horse understood any of it at all. The firewood initiation task was a damn farce, but he’d make it into a useful task none the less with clearing trails and up keep around the pack.

The man was about to go off on a quick patrol before his task today called him to spend the rest of the day with a new pack member, when he noticed another approaching. His hands rest at his hips as the image of Saul and his horses came into view. The man he was now was a source of pride for him, his ties to his family and his mental fortitude where things he knew would get him far in life. Blues observed for the time being until he came closer and he called out to him.

“Good day Saul”
