The young Stormbringer was lost in his own little world as he crested the small hill that surrounded the ranch, green eyes focused on the ground instead of what was in front of him. His worries were almost palpable around him and his mind constantly repeated what was bothering him. Having to leave Temeraire behind was a major cause for concern in his mind. While he knew, perfectly well, that Nayru was capable and willing to look after his son, the male also felt that a part of her resented him for burdening her with another mouth to feed. She hadn't said anything of the sort and seemed happy enough, but there was a small niggle in the back of his mind that told him different. He tried to push this concern aside, but it was difficult. He would see the piebald female soon as well as the small child that had probably grown so much in the short time that he'd been away.

It was this internal babble that kept him so distracted that he didn't hear Saluce cursing at his horse. Of course, Hermes lifted his head and gave a whiny of greeting, causing the green eyed man to look up. His pupils dilated when he realised just how light it had gotten, before the grey swathe of a man that he called adopted father came into veiw, beside a large black horse attached to a harness. Saul felt the grin spread across his lips before his brain computed the emotions razing through his body, but he knew that the predominating emotion was joy. It was good to see Saluce up and about, on two legs and looking so well. And it was a nice coincidence that Saul had happened across him at the ranch. Now he didn't have to go and find the male. The grey man called out a greeting and Saul raised his arm in an acknowledging wave before he dismounted.

"Namaste Saluce. Let me turn Hermes out and get the stallion settled into a stall and I'll come and help you."

Saul spoke quickly, untying the bags and tack from Hermes, as well as the other horse that had been walking placidly behind them since the festival. It took him only a few moments to have Hermes all untacked and in the paddock, where the large stallion promptly dropped to the ground and rolled, relieving an itch and a sweaty back from the ride up here. With a chuckle, Saul lead the chocolate stallion into the barn, easing him into a stall before removing the rope headcollar he'd made and making sure he had water. Satisfied, Saul came back out again, stretching his body out languidly, a yawn echoing in his mouth. With a quick rub of his head, he moved towards Saluce, wondering how he could help.
