Try as she might the rock would not budge. Dalgina so wanted to help. She wouldn't give up! A gentle hand touched her back, softly petting her. Dalgina twisted around to find the colorful dog there, her eyes soft and kind. Given a task Dalgina nodded her head again and happily bounded over to where the sand had spilled out. It took a lot of shoving, but she managed to fit some back into the box. It was hard, sweeping it up with her tail before taking a mouthful and spitting it into the box. Tasted bad too. She was helping though, and that was very important.
Her ears perked up at the voice of someone new. Tail wagging she looked over to find another puppy. Barking with delight Dalgina bounced over. She skidded to a stop as the adult said something really harshly. Wondering if she was being scolded Dalgina's ears briefly flattened. The work continued though, so it must have been nothing. Happily she walked up to the puppy, sniffing at him curiously. Who are you? I'm Dalgina. Wanna play? The task at hand was promptly forgotten at the chance to play with someone new.
