[M]Time to Leave
#6
Sebastian was pleased when Hadley returned his hug and sat close beside him, his broad shoulder and muscular arm almost pressing against the Italian. Still, Sebastian would have preferred a little more information. He hadn't been hurt, which was good. Work... that was something Sebastian hadn't thought of. He had assumed that Hadley would go around and help Wayne or something. Finally, "quiet." Casa was quiet? The world was quiet? Hadley himself was pretty quiet.

Sebastian stretched out his neck and twisted it from side to side, letting the bones and muscles crack. He considered the hybrid's words for a moment, sliding lower on the bed so that he was lying down with his elbows keeping his spine curve and keep him up.

"Well, you don't have to work if you don't want to. Not for the next while, anyway. Making friends and getting to know everyone is more important, since you've only joined recently." Sebastian smiled up at the wolfdog, his bright grin friendly and warm. "Still, you can do whatever work you want. You can ask Wayne or Jazper or Anann, or maybe Dixie-May if you like. I'm sure they'll have work you can help with." Hadley didn't have to work, but Sebastian didn't mind. If he really wanted to, he was welcome.

"And it's good that you haven't got any new wounds." Sebastian rested a hand on Hadley's arm for a few moments. "You might've joined recently, but you're still an equal pack member. Tell me if anyone hurts or threatens you, okay? Stuff like that isn't allowed in the Casa." Sebastian put his hand back down on the bed.

"Have you made any friends?" Sebastian asked, the truth slowly dawning on him that perhaps he hadn't been quite as comprehensive or informative as he should have been when they had arrived at Casa di Cavalieri. Hadley needed direction, after all.
