M-Bitter Weakness

She would keep her promise. Amy had told Angel that she would show him their children. She'd even said that if they were weak he could pick one out for himself. The puppies were born, and now she set out. Carrying the pups was difficult. She set up a small satchel for them, and it was all she could do to keep from adding fur. These weren't her babies. They were too weak. They had to die. Amy could show no mercy, no care towards them if she was going to accomplish what she had to do. Hardening her heart against the pain she knew would come from their deaths Amy approached the Inferni borders.

Two males, two females. A beautiful mottled mix of their parents. Lilith, who looked so much like a coyote, her golden fur shimmering even as she whimpered, too weak to fight for life. Arianne, a brown coat, her muzzle sandy and her paws black, ears flopped like Amy's with the thin frame of a coyote. Douglas, one of the stronger ones, black as night, looking as if he was pure dog, yet still too small for a normal pup. Gabriel had been a surprise, with a small body, throwing back to when dogs must have been pure, a feathered tail with splashes of gold through his dark fur, the runt of the litter.

Resisting the urge to reach her hand in, to calm the whines of the pups Amy pulled her wagon to a halt outside of Inferni. She let out a deep howl, announcing that she was there. Hopefully she wouldn't have to wait long. She moved back to her wagon, making sure everything was secure, trying to distract herself from the pups she knew she mustn't get attached to. The small satchel bumped against her gently, small whines of protest from the treatment. She moved back to the front of the wagon and stood silently, hoping he would come quickly so she could kill them before it became too difficult. Before weakness overwhelmed her.
