There was little doubt in her mind to the importance of Eris’ children. As it stood, all (save her own daughter and the two orphans) of the Family’s children had sprung from the womb of their dark Lady. Siv had paid particular attention to these children from a distance, often when they played with her own daughter. The Eternity-D’Angelo brood was only a month or so older than Draugr, and none of these children seemed particularly needy—given their parents and high-ranking elder sister, it was hard to imagine a reason for them to be otherwise.

Yet Siv, who had never lost sight of her own goals, had quickly found the weakness within Eris. The woman was overwhelmed by trinkets and objects of supposed value; and many of these things Siv could make. Leather was easy for her, especially now that her home was settled and she an area in which to work privately. Over the course of her own projects, she had set aside various pieces that spoke of the children she had seen. Her own daughter had been part of this project as well, and her present was placed upon her bed before the woman tacked up Hildr and rode towards Eris’ home.

She made good time, following the well-worn path towards the ruins. From here she turned and moved towards the Auxiliary’s home. The coyote slave was outside, doing something or another, and Siv did not need to announce her presence; the mare whinnied at the stranger, causing the woman to look up in surprise. “Is your master here?” Siv half-asked, half-demanded. She was formal in her tone with all slaves, though not cruel. By doing this she sought to be looked upon as a benevolent master; one that could ease the burden of servitude to those destined to wear such bindings.
